Who We Are
Our Story
Our story at the lake began in 1964, when our great-grandparents first purchased this slice of waterfront in Sandpoint. Since then, it’s been more than just a piece of land—it’s been our family’s gathering place for four generations. Birthdays, summer weekends, Fourth of July fireworks, and lazy mornings on the dock—it’s all happened here, year after year.
We have been lucky enough to grow up with the same view of the lake, the same beach beneath our feet, and the same dock where we learned to swim, paddleboard, and watch the sunset as the generations before us. It’s more than just a property—it’s part of who we are.
One of the most unique and beloved parts of the property is the Sunnyside Queen, a steamboat that’s docked just steps from the beach. Built and cared for by our grandfather, it’s become something of a local legend—so much so that its story was even featured in a PBS special. You can watch that episode here to get a sense of the passion and craftsmanship that’s been poured into this place.
Now, it’s our turn. We’ve grown up making memories here, and we’ve realized there’s nothing else quite like it. That’s why we’re opening up the dock and beach to others visiting Sandpoint—so you can enjoy the same peaceful mornings, playful afternoons, and unforgettable sunsets we’ve come to cherish. Whether you're looking for a place to spend the day by the water, dock your boat, or just enjoy a peaceful stretch of Lake Pend Oreille, we’re excited to welcome you.
It’s more than just a rental—it’s our favorite place on earth, and we hope you’ll feel the same way after spending a day here.
